Temple of the Dog is the only studio album by the grunge supergroup of the same name, reissued in 2016 as a newly remixed double vinyl LP. Originally released in 1991, the album was created as a tribute to Andrew Wood, the late singer of Mother Love Bone. Initiated by Chris Cornell, the project brought together members of Mother Love Bone and Soundgarden, including Stone Gossard, Jeff Ament, Matt Cameron, and newcomers Mike McCready and Eddie Vedder, who would go on to form Pearl Jam. The album’s title comes from a lyric in a Mother Love Bone song and stands as a powerful homage to Wood’s memory.
